Mike O'Connor YES, YES, YES. A massive thank you to all our Artists, Committee, Stewards, Festival-goers, Management and Staff at the Falcon Hotel, Rugby Club, and St Michael's Church. Bude 2018 was officially the best festival in the world, ever.

Capella On behalf of Capella ("my husband and I") we can absolutely concur with that sentiment. So much fun, such brilliant concerts, so many amazing friends both old and new. Thank you to all the team for never failing to raise the bar every year.

Ali here - thanks to David and Freya - and to all contributors to the Fringe and to Busk Stop. Fringe, too was the best ever.... Cannot say that about Busk Stop, as it was the first - jolly good though. And Bideford Phoenix Morris - thank you so much.

Jo May  Sadly I was only there briefly, but I loved it, thank you!!

Val Radmore Angie and I had a great time. So enjoyed joining the Briar Choir! Thank you everyone xx

Andy Jackson I know it's easy to say, but this was the best ever. The friendship the love all around and the sheer joy of shared music and song was amazing. Thank you for all the hard work by the committee and friends in melding together such a smooth weekend.

Kathy Wallis It was lovely to be welcomed back. Definitely in my diary for the whole weekend next year

Lynda Baker  Every year I enjoy it more & more will definitely be back next year.

Cornish and Devon Post Advertised as the‘Best Fest in the West, Bude & Stratton Folk Festival goes from strength to strength and attracted a record number of visitors to the town over the late May Bank Holiday weekend.

The principal venues were the Falcon Hotel, Bude Rugby Club and St Michael's church, but also‘fringe' entertainments on the Wharf and round Bude Light delighted a great many holidaymakers. The Furry Dance and Maypole Dances attracted large crowds - once again local schoolchildren did themselves proud.

Headliners Gadarene and Jackie Oates and Tristan Seume led an impressive guest list including Against the Grain, Capella, Didjan, Georgia Lewis Trio, Hannah Cumming, Jimmy Aldridge & Sid Goldsmith, Kitty Macfarlane, Reg Meuross and the inimitable Sam Kelly Trio. Away from the concert room there were numerous sing-arounds, sessions and workshops. All were packed.

The organisers declared 2018 to be the best ever and were vocal in their thanks to Bude Cornwall Councillors, Bude Stratton Town Council and the Blanchminster Trust for their support, and gave special thanks to Devon and Cornwall Constabulary for their advice and assistance.

Bude & Stratton Folk Festival is a not-for-profit volunteer enterprise run entirely by local enthusiasts. It does the town proud.
